[FR]Le projet tente de se positionner en tant que bâtiment outil qui soutient les initiatives existantes de l’Office de la protection de l’environnement de Kahnawà:ke, visant à renforcer les capacités de gestion environnementale et à encourager la formation citoyenne. Ce centre de recherche et de formation sur l’environnement et l’écocitoyenneté s’implante sur un terrain actuellement inutilisé et se connecte à l’usine de filtration existante à l’entrée de l’île de Tekakwhita.
[|]L’espace propose des lieux d’échange multifonctionnels facilitant les rencontres communautaires, tout en privilégiant un apprentissage pratique et participatif soutenu par des équipements adaptés et des initiatives de recherche et d’archivage ancrées dans la communauté

[EN]The project is conceived as a tool-building to support existing initiatives of the Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office, aiming to strengthen environmental management capabilities and encourage citizen education. This research and training center for environmental studies and eco-citizenship is being established on currently unused land and connects to the existing filtration plant at the entrance to Tekakwhita Island.

[|]The space offers multifunctional exchange areas facilitating community gatherings, while emphasizing hands-on, participatory learning supported by appropriate equipment and research and archival initiatives rooted in the community.
